Arrival and Dismissal
What are the school hours?
School is in session from 8:00-3:10. We have a tardy bell at 8:10. Students who arrive after the 8:10 tardy bell will be considered tardy and will need to be signed in by a parent.
What is the earliest my child can arrive at school?
For safety reasons, students should not arrive before 7:55 am because there is no supervision until this time. We allow students to enter the building at 7:55 and wait to be dismissed at 8:00 to walk to their classroom.
Attendance
What do I do when my child will miss school?
Absences should be reported to the office at 378-2031 no later than 9:00 am on the day of the absence. State law requires the school to attempt to contact parents when we do not have a reason for an absence. Failure to notify the office on the day of the absence will result in the absence being classified as unexcused.
My child does not feel well. Should he/she attend school?
Students who have a fever 100.0 or above, diarrhea, a contagious rash or illness, or vomiting should not attend school. In addition, students should be free of the above conditions for 24 hours before returning to school.
